If you take a look around your house, you might be very surprised at the number of things that you can get quick cash for. Here are some examples of things you may have lying around your home that can make you some extra money.
Metals – Not only can you recycle your bottles and cans, but you can also recycle other metal items. Things like bike frames, leftover copper tubing, aluminum window frames, and a lot of other types of metal you may have around the house or in the garage are things you may be able to recycle for cash. Even car batteries and that old dishwasher can be recycled.
Quilts – There is a big market for homemade quilts. They can be sold online on a variety of sites. You might want to start with your local social media 'for sale' groups. You can also post the quilts on online classifieds.
Old electronics – You may think your old electronics are trash, but there is a market for them. People will buy old electronics to refurbish them and resell them. Some people even purchase certain old electronics, such as laptops, so they can disassemble them and sell the components. They can even remove the gold from the circuit boards.

Trading cards and stamps – You may have some old trading cards that you have long since assumed are worthless. However, some trading cards can be worth a lot of money — even the same cards that were once worth next to nothing. So look your cards up online and see if some of them surprise you. You may also have some old mail in the envelopes with the stamps. Some stamps are extremely valuable, even after they have been used.
Diabetic test strips – If you have one or more boxes of diabetic test strips that haven't yet expired, then you can sell them for some extra money. Your test strips have to be unused, undamaged, and unexpired. If they are, then they may be eligible for you to sell for cash to a company like American Medical Surplus. This is a great way for you to have some extra cash by selling something that you have a surplus of and would never use before the expiration date came around.
